470 has completed a number mechanical based projects in the past and this was one of the most talked about. After completing the Mustang V8 the next challenge was a scrapped Ford V6 “Essex” engine which had to be rescued and brought back to life. Under the tuition of Mr Robert Kelly the cadets learned how to strip down the engine, repair the damaged components, clean it all up and fabricate the mount and controls.

What resulted was a fire breathing beast!
