Every Friday evening at 470 is known as “Project Night” where cadets and staff engage in a number of activities as part of the training objectives for the Air Training Corps.

470 has a long history of conducting technical projects since the majority of our staff come from engineering or IT backgrounds so we always have something interesting going on.

Examples of previous and ongoing projects:

• Scale Aircraft modelling
• Various electronics projects
• Flight Simulator training
• Build and Compete in the Rampaging Chariots competition
• Create a Ghillie Suit
• Refurbishment of a Ford V8 engine
• Refurbishment of a Ford V6 engine
• Media related projects
