Sunday 8th saw the three lead members of 470’s aircraft recognition team proudly represent West Scotland Wing at the Regional Field Day Competition.
The team of Sgt Logan Tait-Curtis, Cpl Edward Baker and Cdt Dillon Beckmann performed fantastically well with an open competition score of 48, enough to comfortably clinch 1st place!
In the individual catagories of open and under 16, Cdt Beckmann also came out on top winning 1st place in both, in his first attempt!
An incredible achievement and the result of hard work from all.
Team coach, CI Matt Storey added: “I’m really proud of the teams progress over the past two years, now culminating in success at a very high level. An excellent result!”
We now look forward to proudly representing the Squadron, Wing and now Scotland and Northern Ireland Region at RAF Cranwell in late November.
