Take to the skies with our Flying Aces!

On what proved to be a very busy weekend at 470 with cadets attending a Fieldskills training weekend we also had a group doing the polar opposite – soaring through the clouds with the Flying Aces scheme at Dundee Airport.

The Flying Aces scheme has allowed many Air Cadets to get additional flight time over and above what is available through the RAF. For all the cadets involved from 470 this was their first chance to fly in the Warrior training aircraft at Tayside Aviation and the weather could not have been better for it. Blue skies and high cloud granted fantastic visibility over the Tay estuary for a couple of 35 minute flights which all the cadets enjoyed.
