WSW Cadets Gain Their Blue Gliding Wings
Thursday 20th October 2016 marked a special day for 470 where we saw cadets participating in the new Gliding course at RAF Kirknewton after a long period of downtime.
The Squadron OC, Fg.Off Bryce, escorted three cadets from 470 Squadron who joined others from across West Scotland Wing to complete their ground based simulator training followed by glider flights in the afternoon.
This was a fantastic achievement for the young cadets involved as they have only been with the Squadron since the beginning of 2016 and we hope to see a lot more Air Cadets involved in the future!
The gallery contains pictures of Cadets Connor Dixon, Michael Purcell and Daniel Macpherson receiving their certificates and badges from OC VGS as well as some aerial shots capture by Cadet Dixon.
