75th Anniversary Torch visits Falkirk Landmarks
On the evening of Monday 18th July, Sector 6 Squadrons of West Scotland Wing welcomed the 75th Anniversary Torch to the Falkirk area.
Its first stop was to the Spitfire Memorial in Grangemouth supported by 1333 (Grangemouth Spitfire) Squadron and 1271 (Bathgate) Squadron followed by a visit to the world famous Kelpies at the Helix Park.
470 (Falkirk) and 867 (Denny) Squadrons were on hand at the Kelpies to escort it and pose for pictures. Pictured is Cadet Aqib Iftikhar of 470 Squadron carrying the torch escorted by Cadet Ryan Hardy and Flight Sergeant Sam Fraser. The CO even managed to sneak in our Squadron banner into some of the pictures 🙂
