West Scotland Wing – 75th Anniversary Parade – Glasgow Cathedral
Sunday 7th Feb 2016 was a very special day for the Corps where we celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the formation of our organisation.
As celebrations were held around the country, members of 470 Squadron joined our colleagues from across West Scotland Wing to mark the occasion with a church service at Glasgow Cathedral.
The event was attended by dignitaries from across the Wing, senior officers from the RAF and we even had a former Air Cadet who joined the Air Training Corps in 1941!
Unfortunately the weather proved to be unfavorable and we regrettably had to cancel the march past by 350 staff and cadets which would have been a very memorable experience for the cadets participating.
