Cadets from 470 Falkirk and 1333 Grangemouth Spitfire Squadrons braved the weather today to assist Falkirk Community Trust with their Helix Park Novice Duathlon.
The event was split into 3 legs – 3km run, 11.5km cycle and a final 1.8km run
The Air Cadets provided marshalling services for the run section of the event around the Kelpies and northern Helix Park and also manned the refreshment stop to provide bottles of water to competitors as they passed by.
Although the weather was unpredictable the cadets performed their duties admirably and made sure that the competitors safety completed the course and didn’t diverge from the set route.
